No all models of the PCM can be configured to work with the Bose. - Suneet

As long as you have a PCM2.1 and a 987/997 (2005 + Boxster or 997, 2006 + Cayman), it should work with a Bose system. Only certain PCM's are built without amplifiers in them that don't work with sound package plus cars, but the Bose works solely with an external amplifier so this is not an issue.

Sorry Paul, I read wrong, I thought you did have Bose. If you don't have Bose, you CANNOT use part numbers that have 143 in the third set of numbers, for example 997.642.143.02 or 997.642.143.03.

Anything with 141 in the third set of numbers will definitley work.

Sorry for the confusion... - Suneet

Paul,

That is only the PCM, any navigation drive will work and the part numbers are listed earlier in this thread. I don't understand what you mean about serial numbers...

I wouldn't say any. It needs to be a model 997 or 987 part in order to work. Older PCMS from 996 Porsches will not work.
