Just got through ordering for a ridiculously low sum of money. Ordered the AVIC D3X (nav unit, bluetooth module, iPod cable, wireless remote bundled together) and the Pioneer Navtraffic Unit GEXP10XMT. Here is what you do.
Order everything from Abtelectronics.com. They are an authorized internet retailer and they price match. Have them price match the D3 with abesofmaine.com (an authorized brick & mortar store) for $729. Then price match the Navtraffic unit with JR.com for $159. ABT will add the shipping charges into the price match. There is a $200 rebate on the AVIC from now through the end of March. This gets you the Nav unit, bluetooth and iPod for only $529! Thats gotta be like 50% or 60% off retail. I spoke with Steve at ABT. Very nice guy and it was all done in 5 minutes. Enjoy.

I tried ABT and they would not price match with Abe's of Maine because they are not an authorized Pioneer dealer. I then called Abe's of Maine and asked them if they were an authorized dealer for Pioneer and they confirmed that they were not.

You got lucky with the price match because the ABT guy I spoke with was adamant that they would not price match with Abe's because they are not an authorized Pioneer dealer. He was actually sort of a jerk about it. I can still get it from the for $795 shipped and get the rebate so I end up paying just $595. I can't find any place that will do better than that.

They are not an authorized INTERNET retailer BUT they are an authorized Brick & Mortar retailer. They are listed on the Pioneer website as being so. Pioneer USA - Find A Store
Punch in their zip code (08837) and they are listed about six stores down. Call and talk to someone else.

I will give it a shot but I am not sure they will go for it. Definitely have to get the right person on the phone. The guy I talked to looked up Abe's on the Pioneer Internet retailer website and of course they are not there. He also immediately asked where I was from (Tallahassee, FL) and was not going to let me get away with the brick and mortar argument because obviously, I am not going to drive to the brick and mortar location to get it. I would have just gotten it from Abe's but they can't give you the rebate because they are not an authorized internet dealer.

But you could tell them your brother in New Jersey is going to go pick it up for you.

That is a hell of a deal! I paid just a bit over $750 back a few months ago for the AVIC D3, Bluetooth & iPod connect through Amazon.
