PCM / Nav: To code, or not to code?

I have searched for any reference to this and have not found anything, so I apologize if this has been covered to death, but....

Last weekend I installed the Nav drive into my CS. I already had the PCM and a Desion GW500 up and going. When I retro-ed the PCM I had to take the car to the dealer to get sound working (I have the Bose option with a CDC). When I did that (2 weeks ago) I went ahead and scheduled an appt for further programming anticipating the install of the nav drive a week later.

So here is the question: Once I installed the Nav, everything works just fine. Do I really need to have the PCM programmed to acknowledge the nav drive. I know the simple answer is, "If everything is working, why worry about it". However, when I go into menu to check the software versions it also shows the status of the ancillary components in the MOST ring. Everything else says:

Entered: Yes
Found: Yes

But the nav says:

Entered: No
Found: Yes

So the long and short of it is, do I even need to bother with having it programmed or is there some small feature or advantage to be had from having it done?

Thanks for the help!

If you want things like SC (if you have SC) to show up on PCM then yes you need to get everything squared away in PIWIS, if on the other hand things are working fine and you don't want/need anything else then I wouldn't worry about it for now.

Thanks for the info. That is what I suspected. As I do not have SC I wll just wait until I have to take it in for some other service item and have them take care of it then.
