TouchScreen PCM

Is the pcm found in the new 911 compatible w/ the caymans? Wondering if some brave soul has tried to fit their cayman w/ the new pcm. Let me know, it does look much better and nicer than the 2.1.

No-one has tried it yet.. K-Man S posted that some insiders said it wasn't compatible... but I think that be Porsche simply trying to discourage people from doing it.

Actually I talked to Porsche about this the other day and they said that their engineers had successfully retrofitted PCM 3.0 into a PCM 2.1 car but that Porsche would NOT be creating a kit to do so or supporting those swaps. That being said they expected someone to figure out how to do it and the aftermarket shops to do retrofits in the future.

As the owner of a PCM 2.1 I think I'll grab my popcorn and sit back and watch this one develop.
