What is the PCM 3.0 System?

I read in another post someone mention the PCM 3.0 system. Is that different than the current one being installed as a factory option in the 06' Cayman S?. Are they currently using a PCM 2.0 System?. Someone mentioned the new system might have Bluetooth, Sat. Radio & IPOD Connectivity?.. Because if that is true it might be worth waiting for an 07' if one plans to pay for the PCM upgrade now w/o all the above mentioned items...

Porsche has not stated when the new PCM system will be available. I can check the 07 Turbo order guide and see if it has it, but that isn't a guarantee for the Cayman either way.

I had asked my dealer specifically about blue tooth technology as i currently have it in my acura tl. His response was that porsche was a very conservative thinking auto company and that blue tooth was not in the plans in the near future. That was why i ordered the telephone module with the PCM 2.01, I simply take my sim card out of my phone and pop it in the slot and voila , hands free voice activated phone.

Let's be honest here... a 'conservative thinking auto company' OR more likely a company that sees another $2000.00 add on just communicate.

There there. It's not like Porsche charges you extra for floor mats or for a sports steering wheel on a $60,000 sports car. Oh wait, they do!

Does anyone know if you can have the PCM system installed at dealer?. One has the exact car I want w/o it and they said it can't be swapped...?

The PCM can be installed but if the dealer hasn't had experience doing it I would be reluctant.
