I know that IPD was working on an intake plenum for the Cayman and I just received the new Performance Products catalog (Automotion) which has a performance Plenum listed for the Cayman. I sthis the same plenum, or di dsomebody beat IPD to the market?
The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.
It is the same plenum, but the Performance Products catalog is wrong in that they don't have them yet, they've jumped the gun. RSS has all of them in their shop and is sending me the first one for testing shortly, none are for sale until RSS releases them, but I'm assuming performance products will take orders.

There were a couple of IPD prototypes that went out without the final hoses but IPD and RSS are waiting on the final hoses to start shipping final product. I talked to RSS last Thurs or Friday and the new hoses hadn't come in yet.
dittos for the plenum at Stuttgart Performance in Costa Mesa, CA (it's the one from IPD) - they are waiting for the hose...as of last tuesday when i was there getting my car a nice new see-through brassiere.

BTW I talked to them yesterday and they hope to have the final hoses and product this Friday and start filling orders next week as well as send me one for testing.

Thanks Ken...Ill be curious to see if it really adds any HP gain over the mods you already have (headers/Exhaust/Ecu etc). Any take?
