EVO Intake for non-S???

Couple of questions pertaining to this intake-sorry if they seem too elementary. FIrst, will this intake work with a non-S Cayman? I am thinking of de-snorking and adding this intake.

Second, why add the GIAC software? Anyone add the intake and not the software? I personally do not feel the software is necessary. Please correct me if I am way off base!

Thanks in advance for any help

Not possitive but im pretty sure both cars use the same airbox so the intake should fit. The software re-maps the ECU to make more power in a different way than the intake does. Get one or the other and make power OR get both and make more power.

EVO intake fits just fine, intakes on both engines are identical

As for ECU tuning, you might check our home page if you are interested in ECU tuning special going on right now.

EVO seems to have a bunch of data to support cold air intake. Mine is being fitted this week. I'll let you know how it fairs against a stock filter and housing.

^^Evo intakes use the stock airbox. It's an adapter with a shorter, flattened cone filter that replaces the stock paper air filter

Well I think it rounds the power off. A little more pull and sounds better. I would say it’s worth the cash.
