Chrome round tailpipe tips

I did a search on the options on changing the factory square tailpipe tips to chrome round ones. I did not see any recent post on this subject. Sorry if I missed something. What are the best options for this mod and what are the costs? Is this an easy installation or are special tools required? Is Suncoast the best place to buy the factory option? Thanks in advance. Comments are greatly appreciated.

My suggestion is to call (not e-mail) Ralph Booth (our sponsor) and pose the question. Boothe Designs | Contact

And you should read: Twin Round Tips!

I have Ralph's Chrome Sports tips. They look great and I get comments (usually by other Caymanites who know the difference).

Not cheap, but nice looking.

Adds 100 + HP to the looks of the car.

Ole Joe

I do have pics, but the previous thread does and they are good ones. My CS is Midnight Blue, so if youw want pics on a darker color, let me know. I'm in PHX and SLC this week so you'll have to wait to the weekend for them.

Ralph does a good job, so just call him. You'll have to send your original tips to him, so he can chrome them and resell them.

Hope this helps.

Ole Joe

I went to the dealer for my sunday morning drive today. They had 2 CSs on the lot(heavily discounted 07s) with the factory round pipes. I was NOT impressed with the finish quality around the area where the chrome stops around the edge of the pipes. It is just my taste but I also do not care for the ridges at the edges of the pipes as opposed to the smooth finish I saw on the BMWs on the lot next door. Do they serve any purpose? I intend to call Boothe on monday morning.
