stock exhaust tip inlet measurement?

I want to get a different exhaust tip to put on my base C when I get it.
I am not willing to spend $400 or more for just the exhaust tip from Porsche or other replicas. I found several websites that have dozens of ~$60 exhaust tips that fit the Cayman, according to them. These are automotive sites that carry universal parts for all cars. The tips that come up on these websites are usually Borla, Gibson etc and have various inlet measurements. The majority of the tips that come up are 2.25 inlet, but others have greater inlet diameters.

My questions is what is the exact inlet exhaust tip measurement of the stock tips? thanks in advance to you Cayman experts

i originally set out to do the same thing , as i did not want to spend +/- $400 for an exhaust tip . i eventually gave up and ordered the Porsche sport tip because all of the available aftermarket "universal" tips were much too long and would have stuck out well past the rear bumper . that is going to be the problem you will most likely run into , not so much inlet diameter .

The polished Boothe tip looks really nice on the car. There is enough meat on the pipe to make it stick out about an inch past the bumper. Worth the $100 & you have the original quality chrome.
