THE exhaust for Cayman 2.7

What is THE exhaust for the Cayman 2.7? (MY 2007)

I'd like some performance gain and a nice sound. It can't be too loud tough. I'm not 16 anymore

I'm based in Europe, so AWE and other typical USA brands are not available here.

Can I find soundclips somewhere?

I used to have Cargraphic on my Boxster, and I was very satisfied with that, so that's my first choice. Will I be satisfied again?

Daggie-

Check out our dealer page. We have an established dealer network in Europe, and we are about to add more!

Here is the link:
AWE Tuning - Dealer Network

Also, there are some sound bytes and video on our site for you to listen to. We are very proud of this exhaust, and it has been wildly popular with the Cayman/Bosxster set.

Email me directly if you have more questions or need a recommendation.

Hope to earn your business!

No dealers in Belgium ...

No dealer = no service.

I can bring you into contact with some respected dealers in Belgium tough. If you're interested, contact me through email/pm with some info on what you want from a dealer.

You're website only mentions Cayman S btw. No info on the 2.7.

Daggie,

The Porsche factory exhaust is identical for the 2.7 and the 3.4, so if Porsche puts the same exhaust on the car you could put an aftermarket exhaust for the "S" on your non-S without issue.

I doubt the sound is identical since the 2.7 and 3.4 don't sound the same from Porsche, likewise the hp gains will more likely be proportional as opposed to outright the same, what I mean by that is let's say the 3.4 is a 300hp engine and a new total exhaust gains 20 hp, that's what a 6.67% gain. (Using some round numbers for simplicity) If the 2.7 is a 250 hp motor then multiply by 6.67% and you get a 16.675 HP gain. That is if all things are proportional. In essence I would expect it to get some gains, but probably not the same raw number as seem on the 3.4. I could be wrong though, someone needs to dyno before and after to be sure.

Why would you not want to buy from our dealer in the UK?

As Ken said, systems are the same.

Shipping (risk, costs)

If something is wrong I have to ship it to the UK (risk, costs, travel time, ...)

I'd like 1 responsible person for delivery + installing, then I'm sure you don't go blame eachother.

I've modded many cars in the past and I know what can go wrong. Nothing personel against AWE (I have no experience with any of your products), but if I can't get it local, I'll get something else. You have to understand: I can drive to Cargraphic and back in 1 day ...

Do you have HP specs of your exhaust for the 2.7 engine?

In your initial post, you stated that A.W.E. is not available there. That is why I responded saying it is.

You are just concerned about the geographical differences, no?

Well, I don't think you should let that stop you.

How about "Your on-line price is US$ 1800 (or UKP £900) and the UK dealer's on-line price is UKP £1300"?
