center console removal

i searched then went through the articles and could not find how to remove my center console. i remember seeing it a while back, can anyone help?
im looking to see how hard it is so i can get it painted!

You don't need to remove the cupholder to get the center console out, but if you want to know how to take that apart see my article on placing the ipod in the cd case holder in the glove box. I believe there are just 2 bolts from underneath that hold the cupholder unit in if memory serves correct.

i want to figure out how to get out that whole strip of silver across the dash so i can paint it white, i know you did it in yours

Either his came from bumperplugs, or you are just seeing the reflection of all that yellow in the trim. I'd guess the later.
