I don’t believe that TEIN offers a coilover for the CS yet, but one of their distributors mentioned yesterday that he will be installing a set of TEIN on his 911 (with an electronic adjuster)

The TEIN’s have 16 different settings for the struts and they have a gizmo that allows you to change the settings from the driver’s seat with a small electric motor that sits on top of each strut.

According to Dennis (TEIN distributor) the price for the set, including the adjusters should be around $2,000 which seems pretty reasonable

Does TEIN have a good reputation?

yes! very good quality suspension. I know they also make electronic suspension for many japanese oem manuf. I also know they made the oem ones for the older nissan maximas.

some people like the regular stock factory look, cool people modify the car.

They are well known in the import scene, mainly focus on japanese cars, but they been focusing more on Euro the past few years. I had a set of their coilovers on my Type-R back in the days, it was great.

I would say avoid gizmos and stick with simple tried and true suspensions.

Kor, I agree with you completely (KISS philosophy), but the TEIN's use a very simple (an external, and completely independent from the strut) small electric motor that turns the shock adjusting knob at the top.

The concept was so simple and the idea of being able to adjust the dampers on the fly seems very appealing.

However myself being a European car nut all my life, I never heard or knew about the brand TEIN before, that's the reason I am asking about
