I know there have been many failures of the Milltek headers. Has anyone (not using the headers) had a failure of the Milltek cat-back?

do u mean failure of the stock headers using milltek cat back? I am not sure, but an after cat exhaust might not cause cat failure, not sure.

some people like the regular stock factory look, cool people modify the car.

I installed the Milltek cat-back in May '07. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I've put roughly 5,000 miles and 10 DE days on the car since the installation. I have noticed the exhaust is a little louder than it was when brand new, but the sound is still quite moderate compared to most of the competitiors' products.

BTW, I am using the oem header and I do not plan to replace it.

I do not recall reading about any Milltek cat back failures, only header/catalytic converter failures.

The only catback I have read about failing was the AWE. It seems the early versions saw some welds fail inside the baffles causing vibrations, but I think that is behind them now and it is important to note that AWE has replaced any failed systems, no questions asked.

I've about 19,000 miles on the Milltek cat back (stock headers) with no issues.

Bear in mind there are no 'cats' in the cat-back piece - cats are only fitted to the headers on the Milltek system. Hence there are no cats to fail in the rear piece.
