I have it on some authority that FVD did not develop their own flash but is using a relabeled flash from another provider, hence I would expect their results to be the same as that other provider. BTW, there isn't ever going to be a single flash out there for the Cayman that magically produces twice as much HP as all the rest, it really comes down to what features you want or don't want in a flash and the customer service of that company IMHO.
SOFTRONIC produces DME programming and hardware to suit your companies specifications. Our current software suite is a complex matched set of programs housed in a Flash Manager and Flash Client. This software is matched with two cables, an End User and Master Cable. The SOFTRONIC proprietary flashing solution outperforms all other combinations in speed and accuracy including the factory Porsche equipment.

K man, I work for FVD. Other "tuners" simply use the same file transfer tool as we do. FVD files are proprietary software files and should not be used by other companies.

Flo
floppy,
Welcome to the site. I think the operative question here floppy is not what software you use to load the flash into the ECU, but what is it that is different about your flash from other vendors who use the same load tool? Perhaps FVD would be interested in coming onboard as a sponsor and getting some independent dyno tests done of the Cayman flash by some of our members? The more information our members have access to the better it is for everyone!
Feel free to PM or email me at any time to discuss.
Just to clarify Softronicfiles are not to be confused with FVD. FVD makes their own files or also known as maps for Porsches and are proprietary to them. This also applies to Softronic in its maps. The transfer system may look the same however the tuned programs are not.
