Where is the ECU or how to remove dash
I'm looking to tap an rpm signal from either the ECU or from the tach on the dash. From a search I see the ECU is likely in the engine compartment, but there is not much information. The alternative is to get to the harness behind the dash.

The ecu is in the rear luggage compartment on th opposite side of the oil fill flap.

Many RPM-using devices (performance meters, etc) are driven by the ripple in alternator output. The DC power plugs or the cig lighter provide such a signal.

thanks to both. about the DC/cig lighter would I just tap one of the two lines going into them?
