NEW Reinforced Hose for IPD Cayman S Plenum

Greetings and Happy Holidays Cayman Clubbers

We have responded to the “collapsing silicone hose issue” that a few customers have experienced with a new and improved wire reinforced silicone hose. We have discovered inconsistencies with our previous silicone hose shipments. We have sold close to 100 Cayman S plenums and have found that about 15% of the Caymans were suffering from the hose collapsing, especially under full acceleration in the higher gears. Computational dyno flows show that the new IPD wire reinforced plenum hoses should be able to handle 2539 horsepower before experiencing any collapsing issues, making this problem completely and totally resolved.

Obviously in an effort to offer the best customer service possible, any and all previous Cayman S Plenum customers can receive this new hose by simply contacting us and placing a request. There is no charge. We only ask that you return the original hoses back to RSS after receiving the reinforced hose. All new orders will be shipped with the new and improved wire reinforced hoses.

Even if you have not experienced any collapsing issues you are still welcome to request the new hose if you prefer the added piece of mind. We have yet to experience any issues related to the silicone hose with all of our in-house installs which is about 12 to 15 cars, but these customers are welcome to the same offer.

The new hoses are not only considerably stronger but also cut to the correct length and offer a great fit. The new reinforced hoses can be identified by squeezing or by the orange color on the inside of the hose.

Thanks again to everyone for all the continued support. The RSS team extends it’s warm holiday wishes to the entire Cayman Club community.

Cheers,
Greg

RSS is First Class!

Hello Greg,

I must say that RSS and your awesome team of car guys are completely First Class in everything that you do (Cargraphic Headers and Exhaust, GiriDisc Rotors, IPD Plenum, and etc.).

It is really refreshing in this "buyer beware" world of the automotive aftermarket products to find a supplier with your breadth of product knowledge, research and development expertise, manufacturing quality and overall integrity. Thank you!

Regards,
Joe

Greg.

I was one of the in-house installs and have never had my hose collapse or any problem of any kind with your IPD plenum.

In California on dry roads and 80 to 90 degree temps I redline my Cayman S in first and break the tires loose (285-35-19"s) shifting into second and that never happened before The IPD plenum was installed.

I think that your IPD plenum is the single best mod for the Cayman S and the fact that you have improved the hose to make it even better is outstanding.

Thanks

Greg, Thanks for the continued support with this product. I also purchased mine from Automotion and have the first generation hose that needed to be trimmed in order to fit properly. I would feel much more confident with the new hose. Would it be possible for me to get the new hose? Thanks.

Hello again and thank you for all the great compliments.

To receive the "new and improved" IPD reinforced silicone hose please drop us a Private message or e-mail at sales@roadsportsupply.com or give us a call at 714-545-1046.

Please let us know if you purchased the Cayman S plenum from us (RSS) or if you purchased it through an RSS dealer.

And if you are outside the country like 4by4 we don't expect you to bother with sending the original hose back to us.

Thank you again for all the continued support. Happy Holidays!

Cheers,
Greg
