I had offered my car for testing on this because I am geographically very close to
PCA-Tech and I am very curious about the combination of mods. If you follow my posts and know my style, you understand that I am very skeptical about most mods, so my willingness to offer up my car should make a big statement about my confidence in this one. (My car is bone stock, so it should be a very accurate test subject.)
With the holidays screaming up on us and the weather in our neck of the woods being terrible at best, it's been tough to get my car in for dyno testing and to hook up with
PCA-Tech for installation. I hope to be able to do so within the next couple of weeks, assuming this works with
PCA-Tech's schedule. (We've been pounded with snow and ice in the last two weeks, and my Cayman S is still wearing her Pilot Sport PS2s.)
I just deleted a very long post about the changes and expected gains because my inner skeptic stepped in. I don't want to speculate until the facts are in.
If you were to install an IPD
Plenum and then we discover that this combination delivers much better results, you could always apply the new
Softronic software package to the IPD
plenum (at a reduced cost) and achieve similar if not exact results.
