PASM control when wheels are change.

I have a question. I have an 06 CS with PASM/SC with 19 inch wheel and I'm planning to change it to 18 inch wheel. Is there a something in the PASM control or even the PSM that will affect on the way the car behaves? My guess is that it shouldn't matter but may be Porsche factory has a special software applied when the CS uses PASM with 19 inch versus PASM 18 with 18 inch. May be they use a different parameters when wheels are 19 and 18. Thanks.

No, PASM is totally agnostic toward wheel size... PSM might care if you get more than 3-4% away from the stock size, but if you stay within that range, it won't care either...

TPMS should be reset if you change wheel sizes. PASM/PSM will be fine unless you deviate significantly from stock tire sizes.

Hello CURV ETR,

When the correct size of tire is mated to a change in wheel diameter (IE: 19" down to 18"), your overall diameter will remain the same (give or take a fraction of an inch). The inch lost in rim diameter will be made up in the increase of your tire's sidewall.

Regards,
Joe
