RSS - IPD Plenum Hose Update Install

I finally had a chance today to install my new updated and much stronger IPD Plenum hose from Road Sport Suppy (RSS) - Road Sport Supply - Home

Previously despite trimming the hose back some I was still having some hose collapse issues particularly between 2nd and 3rd gears. The difference after installing the new hose is like night and day. The car revs to redline almost immediately as there is no shortage of air getting into the engine. Test runs in my regular test area show my mph to back back into triple digits by the time I have to let off to turn. Multiple tests through different gears showed no indication of any problem with the new hose. I took some pics, apologies for the lack of focus I thought the camera had focused on the hose and evidently it didn't, but I think you can see in the first two photos (old hose) where the hose was still able to collapse. The third photo shows me pressing on both hoses together, notice how the first original hose collapses while the second hose holds firm. The last two photos show the new hose installed.

Installation was a snap, just had to work the new hose into place and put the clamps on, I found loosening up the throttle body made that a little easier to do. As soon as I can get in for a dyno run at IA I will post an article and full results. Until then, enjoy!

INSTALLED the NEWEST new race IPD Plenum throttle body & K& N Filter

Install was a no brainer, hose took a little effort. Let the car idle for 10 mins and then drove it up and down the power band for 50 mins so the ECU and Air Fuel Sensor could learn the new equipment. What Power! Feels real strong!
Thank you to the guys at Road Sport Supply for the support, the product, and the quick delivery. Now to the Dyno to see what she will do.

PLEASE SIGN ME UP 2007 Cayman s.. with new race IPD Plenum throttle body & K& N Filter. Want to see what the output is thanks.
