Gator Bite and I are putting together an exhaust comparison event at Croctoberfest this year. We'll have cars with each kind of aftermarket exhaust lined up, allowing people to actually listen to each one and compare them, talk to the owners, etc.
At this point we're soliciting for people who have an aftermarket exhaust on their CS or base Cayman, who'll have their car at Croctoberfest. Details have yet to be worked out, but we'll likely run this during the car show part of the weekend. So if you'll be there and you'd like to let people listen to what your exhaust sounds like (and to what you may have to say about it), please post in this thread.
Be sure to include in your post which exhaust you've got. Thanks!
Of course I will be there showing off the Borla system.
Schwabe, this may be limited to sponsored products only. We will discuss this and let you know, or maybe we can get B&B to sign up before then if they really want to be part of our comparison.
BORLA PERFORMANCE INDUSTRIES is the leader in the design and manufacture of stainless steel performance exhaust. We began two decades ago as a manufacturer of exhaust systems for such "concours classics" as Rolls-Royce and Ferrari cars and have evolved into the premier manufacturer of today’s performance vehicles for the street, off-road, and racing.
Barring any elk I can blow out your ear drums with my Capristo system...
Capristo
Capristo exhaust systems for the Cayman. The Capristo valve system allows the Cayman to be relatively quiet in cruise speeds but to sound like an F1 car when the valves are open.

Not a lot of elk in Georgia, but there are white tails -- they're smaller, but much more agile and more likely to cross the road in groups.

I suggest if someone can get their hands on a sound meter, you record the sound levels in db at 3K and at redline from the same distance (like maybe 5 feet). In that way, people who do not attend can get a good idea of how loud each exhaust is. The actual numbers don't matter. It's the relative differences between OEM and the aftermarket exhausts that might interest people.

I plan to attend at this point unless something comes up. Will bring my CS with Tubi exhaust.
