I felt the PSM more intrusive in a Cayman S than a Boxster, could this be true?

I have a 987 Boxster Tip, I like the PSM a lot, its there to save you when you really get sideways, but lets you slide a bit enough to have fun.
My Boxster has Fabspeed exhaust, Softronic Software, Evo intake.

I tested a 2008 Cayman S, that I might buy.
Loved the car but the only thing I didnt like is that the PSM felt too intrusive.
A lot more than my Boxster
Doesnt let the wheels spin at all or slide a bit.

I did a right hander turn at a track , that usually I do with my Boxster at full gas, the Cayman S wanted to stop in the middle of the turn, I thought something was wrong with the car.
Is it possible the Cayman S has a more intrusive PSM than the Boxster?
Maybe because its a manual against a Tiptronic?May because its a 2.7 Boxster vs a 3.4 motor in the Cayman S?

This really surprised me.

Since I have Softronic, I will be putting it in the new Cayman S.
So can anyone with Softronic Sport mode can confirm the PSM threshold is raised?

In sport mode PSM is less intrusive, so it is your boxster in permanent sport mode

Speaking of Softronic, I noticed they are a sponsor, and their site says, "Softronic adds the Caymanclub to the client list for exclusive software. Softronic will provide special tuning software to the Caymanclub at an exclusive price, Caymanclub.net.."

What is special about the software and how do we get the exclusive price? Also, is the "exclusive" price higher or lower?

Just kidding about the price. :-P At least, I assume it is lower... hah!

Price is lower you just have to call Softronic and see what the current special is.

As someone pointed out a Boxster with PSM in sport mode will be less intrusive than a Boxster or Cayman with PSM in non-sport mode, which is the comparison you are making.

Heres a thought. CS comes with "Nanny mode" enabled, if you dont want that you have to, suprise suprise, purchase the SC option in order to free it up, but in order to make it seem like it is actually worth something, you get a wart on the dash.

Softronic is great, I compared my base Boxster 987 tip with Fabspeed exhaust and evo intake plus softronic, against a manual Boxster987 with same exhaust , evo intake but no Softronic.

The manual is meant to be faster than the tip

My car was faster than the manual Boxster base 987, it was a long uphill and definitely mine was faster, we tried many times.

Apart from sport crono, it also raises the rpm limiter 300rpms, and does make the car more alive in my opinion.
Highly recommend it.
