Since I am so new to the Cayman I was looking for some advice from some of you who have already changed the exhaust out. Which one of the two would you pick.
Agency Power Exhaust System
or a
B&B Tri-Flo Exhaust System
I might and this is a big might, but I might actually be able to get the B&B system for free. They have not made an 08 system yet and I live down the street from them, so to speak(i used to actually work for them 3 years ago). So they would use my cayman to make the prototype with and I would get it for free after they were finished. So of course if I can get one for free then I would obviously take that one. But if I had to pay for it, I wasn't sure which one is actually better. I have not heard of a Agency Power Exhaust before.
I know neither of the systems are going to really be a big HP gain. I want to enhance the sound a little is all. Not that there is anything wrong with the way it sings to me now.

Anyways thanks for any input, I apprecaite it!
Neither are at the top of my list because there seems to be more collective experience around with other types.
Most likely I will end up with Borla, Milltek or Remus.
This could be a geographic thing, of course.
Search on "exhaust" and the above brands.
Capristo
Capristo exhaust systems for the Cayman. The Capristo valve system allows the Cayman to be relatively quiet in cruise speeds but to sound like an F1 car when the valves are open.
Borla
BORLA PERFORMANCE INDUSTRIES is the leader in the design and manufacture of stainless steel performance exhaust. We began two decades ago as a manufacturer of exhaust systems for such "concours classics" as Rolls-Royce and Ferrari cars and have evolved into the premier manufacturer of today’s performance vehicles for the street, off-road, and racing.
Those 2 choices would also be on my short list if and when I decide to get a cat-back. I think they both sound pretty similar from their sound clips and they appear to be of similar design.
The Agency Power retails for about $500 less if you use your stock tips (which is what I would prefer anyway). I would guess that their HP gains would be pretty close to the same. Obviously, if you can get the B&B for free, that would be the way to go IMO.

Thank you both for the input so quickly. This system sounds amazing "Capristo" as I am sure so is the price. Which I was never able to locate a cost on that. I see the Remus is right around what I epxect. Borla is a no brainer really, they always make a nice product. It was always funny to be at SEMA and have the Borla both across from the B&B both.
Thanks again, lots of reading to do now!
Oh heck while I am asking questions, which ECU software would you all chose?

I see that B&B is based in the Phoenix area as is Vivid Racing, which sells the Agency Power exhaust. I know there is a member on CC there who has the A.P. (I believe he was their "guinea pig") and I assume someone locally must have a B&B, so you might be able to get a look at those 2 first hand before deciding.

As for the ECU, I went for the Softronic; if you look at the Softronicplenum thread, you'll see there are over 50 people waiting (anxiously) for the release of the plenum, based on the projected HP gains with that mod combo. If you haven't already, I'd recommend reading thru some of the Softronic threads to get an idea of the pros and cons. You might want to look at this thread: Revo Remap vs Softronic as a start.
Plenum
The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.
Softronic
SOFTRONIC produces DME programming and hardware to suit your companies specifications. Our current software suite is a complex matched set of programs housed in a Flash Manager and Flash Client. This software is matched with two cables, an End User and Master Cable. The SOFTRONIC proprietary flashing solution outperforms all other combinations in speed and accuracy including the factory Porsche equipment.

I have never heard of Agency Power Exhaust. I can't say on that one.
I may be mistaken, but I think I sort of remember reading somewhere that the B&B system actually produced less horsepower on the Boxsters. Can anyone else verify this?
EDIT: Oops - it looks like Vivid also sells the B&B cat back for about the same price as the AP. Is there some reason the exhausts for 06-07 year models won't fit on a '08?
