What to do?!?

First off I am sorry if this has been asked before I did try and search for these questions before I posted this.

I was wondering about the different ECU flashes. I was hoping to get some input from people who have done them and their thoughts on each company. I am considering 3 companies and I am really torn on which one to pick. I am happy that all 3 of these options are available to me locally.

1. Softronic
Love the idea it unlocks the SportCrono options. Is this the only ECU flash company that does this?

2. APR
I like the idea it can be swtched around via the cruise control, several fuel options. I am familar with them from my dealings with VW's and B&B. ( you all do know that B&B makes ALL of the APR systems right??? from VW's to Audi to the Porsche systems they are all B&B systems with the APR badge on them. )

3. GIAC
I believe the GIAC software would just be flashed on and that is it, no other controls for the it?

I am pretty sure they have all simlar gains in hp and tq. I will be adding an exhaust as well, which one I am still torn on. To many choices and I want to make the best one for me.

Again I was really looking for some real life experience with these the pros and cons you all have experienced with them. Also I have a Cayman 2.7L not the S 3.4L so I'm looking for that little extra out of it. I will be getting an exhasut and air intake to go along with it. This way I should get the best bang for the buck! Thank you and again I am sorry if this has been covered already.

I'm no pro in this field... but I do know that GIAC offers a control module that lets you change programs... at least they did for Audi as I had it.

Yeah they had one for my 04 GTI as well. But I was informed by Mike at EVO that is not the case for the Cayman. I really liked being able to switch around like that with the hand held programmer.

Softronic seems to be the leader if they get us some more details on their new bundle, which advertises quite a lot larger HP bump than any of the others.

I have had Softronic and GIAC in my Cayman and performance-wise about the same, but the Softronic had more features than the GIAC. The APR flash is coming, my laptop is setup for it now I just need to schedule some time to be able to do it around a dyno test. One thing to keep in mind is that if you use the car's memory to hold multiple maps then Porsche can detect it via the PIWIS, but if you load completely back to a stock flash then Porsche cannot. This may not be a big deal to most people but to some it might be, so always be sure you understand the ramifications of any flash.

I do understand completely about the ramifications, that is why I was asking about these things. K-Man S do you feel the APR or GIAC is the most detectable then by the dealer? I do like the idea of Softronic being able to be put right back to stock. I wasn't sure about APR being able to do that or GIAC.

Thank you again for the input, I do appreciate it!
