I have sport seats, leather, but I want to install the Gray Alcantera in the middle. I have a 993 with old GT3 seats that I put red suede as an insert and it looks and feels great, IMO. I want to do the same modification with my CS but with Alcantera to match my GT3 shifter.

My supplier can not find Alcantera but only suede. I have searched the internet but struck out.

I need a supplier of Alcantera!!! Please help!!!!!

Alcantara is an Italian brand, same company also makes ultrasuede which is one step down from alcantara on the premium suede-like materials chain. They have only one distributor in the US and that is Toray Ultrasuede in Troy, Michigan. Since they are the only producer of the material, it is their product that goes into all the OEM applications.

EVERY upholstery shop especially if they have automotive experience should know what you are talking about be able to get it. Otherwise go somewhere else! If you upholster cars with ultrasuedes or suede you will regret it, Alcantara has unique characteristics to resist wearing and fading in sun and heat and so forth. Automotive grade premium fabric is good stuff.
