DMC Bar: All Gone

I've spoken with F/L and another distributor. DMC appears to be out of business, and the bar is definitely no longer being produced. F/L sold their last one, last Friday. RacingByDesign, which lists it on their website confirmed as well that their distributor does not have them and can't get anymore.

You might try TC Design: Cayman Harness Bar (it's not the same as the DMC)

Just ordered one from them myself.

Yes if you have hard shell backed sports seats, painted or otherwise, that harness bar will hit them and in my case did damage them, one of the reasons I switched out from that bar.

Yeah, left 4 messages with DMC for missing hardware and received nothing in return. F-L did have 4 in stock last month however.

If your running a harness you likely have fixed-back buckets, my GT3 seats don't come close to the TC Design bar. The new ones don't come with the little welded on belt location tabs.

Yeah I never tried it with my GT3 seats, the problem was with the stock seats they could recline to such an angle that they would impact the bar if you slid them back far enough. Although I was careful on my side, both sides ended up getting damaged.

Good News! I've located the fabricator of the DMC harness bar and have a message into him. He is due back in his office tomorrow and I hope to speak with him then about the continuation of these harness bars, if either he will do it, or he'll sell the plans/specs to someone else who will do it. It turns out that it helps to know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows him.

Let DMC know that their bar is really nice piece of hardware. Looks OEM. It would be a shame to lose them as an option.....

Good news,
I spoke to the person who makes these bars and he has another 100 bars in processs that should be done in 3-4 weeks and then out in the market. He said keep an eye on distributors and he'll send me more info when available.
