Porsche Logo Self-Painted Wheel Center Caps (not the crest) - Any Success?

I want to paint my silver wheel center caps black to match my rims. I am referring to the plastic caps themselves and not the crest. Has anyone here done this? If so, how did they turn out?

Not sure how long the paint will last through time. You should call Boothe. I bought a set from him but for aftermarket rims. I believe he sells OEM as well in black.

Eric at Bumper Plugs is making me a set as we speak albeit I am having the area outside the crest done in Red. His process will ensure they will hold up for years and worth the cost IMO. And you can send him your set for the core set as long as they are like new. Either way, talk to him.

I haven't done this myself, but I can assume it would be like painting anything else.
Find info on the proper method to prepare the surface and paint. For example: clean, remove imperfections, scuff, paint, clear coat (to protect).

Looks like you're half way there with the badge already off.

If its plastic, maybe model paints would work, or spray cans with touch-up paint.

For some of us, the pleasure is in knowing we did it ourselves.
