Well, perhaps Craig@Rennstore will chime in here (or you could email/pm him for advice), but you might want to read the
FAQ and
articles about bedding-in pads on the
StopTech site for some useful info.
Based on their recommendations, there probably wouldn't be any problem driving to the track at normal speeds/braking, and bedding them in there (they describe how to do that safely as well). The street driving will actually help to abrade the old brake material from your rotors anyway. You just don't want to get your rotors really hot and then apply them at a full stop which could cause glazing.
I guess I'm lucky that there is a long, straight back-country road nearby that doesn't have much traffic, where I can do my bedding procedure.
