Anyone used Schnell SSK?

On-line Porsche and BMW Parts, Tools and Accessories
Is offering the Schnell ssk and shifter link for $149. I saw the add in Panorama and thought at that price you can't go wrong. Anyone have any experience with Schnell?

No one has heard of them? I ordered it anyway, if it's **** I'll send it back but a buck fifty for the ssk and connector is a steal if it's a worthy product. The guy on the phone said it's built really well and has been running one for nearly eight years in his 996. Guess we'll see.

Thanks for the link, I just bought one for myself. This is an especially good deal because your also getting the shifter link update for free, which I believe sells for about $80 alone.

I looked into getting one about 1-1/2 years ago. At that time, they were a little like the B&M in that you had to install it in the shifter base (though the guy told me that I could send the shifter to him and he would swap it out).

The Schnell SSK has the advantages of keeping the identical handle position to the stock shifter. And it doesn't reduce the travel as much as the factory or B&M SSK. Both pluses to me.

I didn't change though - I just decided the factory shifter was sweet enough - but I don't get to the track very often.

The only drawback was that the knob will not fit the Schnell without modifying the shifter end a little (which the guy also said he would do)

The folks I originally spoke with are at Paragon Products. Schnell Short Shifter - Porsche 911, Boxster
