Talking Brake dust and alternate brake pads

I hate the brake dust. My cayman is an everyday driver and I can not stand dirty looking wheels. Has anyone tried the Raybestos brake pads to eliminate the dust?? I realize the braking may be slightly affected--but the trade off to not have dirty weels would be worth it to me. Anyone tried these or other dust "free" pads????
Thanks

Please have a look at the bottom of this page - you'll see that this topic has been talked about quite a bit... there's probably even more if you take the time to do a search.

Thanks I actually did do a search but for some reason none of the posts that showed up were relevant. I thought that this had to of been discussed before but I missed the posts in my search. Thanks again.

Rejex the wheels, the dust will wipe off. More important than cosmetics, it won't eat away at the surface of the wheel.

i have had the same issue...i just put on some hawk ceramics...getting a terrible squeal. im not sure if it is one corner that i need to dissassemble and or if it is endemic to ceramics.
if anyone knows, please chime in!
i understand these pads to be much less dusty, and the dust lighter in color as well...the trade off being decreased brake pedal feel...but after an hour and a half on the back roads today, they felt just great.

EBC Ceramic Brake Pads

I too became very tired of cleaning unwanted brake dust. When I started a thread to find pads that would dust less, my quest was not received well by the ones who answered my question on this forum.
I do not track my car, but want good performance without squeeling and low dust on my wheels.
I found EBC "Red Stuff" Ceramic brake pads with brake sensor fitments, on the web. They are painted red. I ordered them and installed them. They required a quite rlgorous break in bedding session. But after this was accomplished, they have worked flawlessly with little-very little dust. The dust that very slowly accumulates is very easy to remove with a damp cloth. I highly recommend these pads for anyone for street driving. They exibit very little fade and seem to be kind on the rotors. I have no knowledge of how they would perform on the track. I am very satisfied with them.

Did some research and ordered Axxis Deluxe Advanced brakes pads from buybrakes.com. I will report back on them once I have installed them. They sound very promising since I do not track my cay. and hate dust. We'll see. Also just a heads up. some of the vendors do NOT have the right part number for the 2.7 front brakes. Axxis does I hope. Brake pad parts no. are the same as the boxster 2.7. so be careful when ordering.
