I guess on a bright side... If I continue to grow my business at the pace I am... I could always just trade up to the 3.4L.

Firstly, I would like to apologize for the confusion and misinformation you received. This is not typical of our customer service.
In regards to the availability of an ecu upgrade for your Cayman, we unfortunately have not developed the ecu upgrade as to date for any year Cayman 2.7l.
The confusion stems from our electrical engineering team being the guys that interface with the dme's and speak mostly their coding language. These engineering duties do not require an understanding of the mechanical engineering aspects of our operation. These are the gentlemen however that take the mechanical engineering teams' product releases and post them to our Direct Port Programming online application suite so they are typically the authority on what is currently available. Within a 33+ employee organization some compartmentalization of information must occur and your experience was an unfortunate by product of this requirement.
That being said, I am immediately alerted through your experience that I have failed my Sales Team to some extent by not having properly disseminated the specifics of our available product range to them without the need to query our Electrical Engineering Team. I have redoubled my efforts to do so in hopes that no future clients will have to suffer the same confusion as took place in regards to your experience with APR.
I sincerely apologize and hope that once our calibration for the Cayman 2.7l is complete you will still consider us as an option for your enjoyment in light of this mistake.
