Cool Droning exhaust and 2.7.

There have been many posts of droning after market exhausts. But it appears that all have been posted by Cayman S drivers. And the single Cayman 2.7 driver swears by no noise with his Remus. (My previous experience taught me Remus = drone.) So this in itself is VERY interesting.

I have also seen post stating that the OEM exhaust drones a bit when the car is in the "drone range" 2500 to 3000 RPM and lugged a little. There is no hint of drone in that range on the 2.7.

I wonder if the acoustics of the smaller engine may atually be such that no drone is heard with after market exhausts.

I am hopefull, as I hate drone, but I would like to change the sound of the car to be a bit more agressive. I am most likely going to order a FabSpeed or Borla and check this out.

Most of our exhausts are TUV approved, decibel output is very similar to stock but the sound characteristics are altered. This produces a drone free system for most of our exhausts. However the Cayman exhaust is a REMUS RACING and is not TUV approved, it has drone at highway speeds.

Remus Shop

There is really NO drone if you drive the car correctly.I can not speak for the 3.4 liter as mine is a 2.7 .I was just driving on the HWY this morning 65MPH in 5TH Gear and I was just thinking I could not even hear the motor running so I dont think there is any amount of annoying drone that would deter me from choosing a remus exhaust but I would choose another exhaust if you dont like a Loud RACING sound though cause that what you get When you gun it its a whole new world and I simply LOVE IT .I can honestly control ANY drone and I applaud Remus Shop for being Honest and NOT trying to OVERSELL their product. They dont have to try and sell me IAM A BELIEVER . I am glad a PORSCHE Racing team member recomended the REMUS to me .His shop is not a sponser here but will be soon .Good luck with your choice
