Techart body kit

I just picked up my new Cayman and was looking into getting the techart kit however I was wondering if anybody that has one can confirm if the front bumper is polyurethane (flexible) or made of some other material like fiberglass (non flexible).

I will post pics soon.

Thanks all inadvance.

fiberglass and in my opinion from comparing side by side with the m's machine works GT3 style fiberglass front bumper not as nicely made of a unit either. Ask itmerc about his techart front bumper he'll have an earful for you, I was stunned when I saw what has happened with it....

I just bought a used 06 Cayman S with the Techart body kit. I can tell you that it may be fiber glass, but it is also flexible. Three days after having the car the Type I front spolier literally fell off the car. The adhesive came unglued. I heard something dragging and I opened my car door at a stop light to see what it was the the front spoiler was bent underneath the car sticking out on the driver side. I pulled over and it broke free. I took it to a body shop and they said it is shot. The side skirts are not flush with the car either. I am not sure if it is because the shop that installed the kit did a bad job or if its the parts themselves. http://http://www.techart.de/homee_gesamt.htm.

The Kit looks awesome when it is installed. If you want a head turner this is the way to go. My confidence is rattled a bit on the quality of the parts. If you get a good deal on the kit send their info my way because I need to get a new front spolier.

Quality is OK. I don't see anything wrong with my front bumper.
