Top Flight Front Plate Bracket

Has anyone attempted to use the Top Flight Front Plate Bracket ? I have used this mounting system on a 2006 Corvette. It was a great solution for the Corvette and I am thinking it could work on my CS with some modification of course. Anybody with any thoughts? I have placed my order for a Top Flight front plate detachable mounting bracket system, if it goes well I will photo essay it for the forum.

There is no way that I would ever put a front plate on my car even though I live in a state that requires it. It just ruins the lines of the front in my opinion. Good luck in your solution, hopefully it works out well for you.

I understand your position, but you have to realize that in Upstate New York we have layers and layers of law enforcement: village police / town police / sheriff patrol / Sate Police etc. I have friends that have been ticketed several times for no plate and like you, said "I will never put a plate on the front of my car..." , well I wish you the best but a man has to do what a man has to do.
PS: Hope you never have to go the front plate route.

maybe next time have you looked at some of our sponsor's there is one who sells a front plate mount that does not monifiy your front end no holes to drill it does offset you plate on the front end but I think it looks good. The quality of the parts are awsome.

Hi,
I have looked at the moweraxle configuration and it is very nice, and perhaps I will turn to that if my little experiment does not work out the way I hope.

Hey, I understand where you're coming from. You have to do what you have to do. I guess I live in a fortunate area of Texas. I have never been pulled over (knock on wood) but I went to my local DPS office which is next to the courthouse and I had a could of sheriffs deputies compliment me on my car and one of them stated, "I don't blame you for not putting a front plate on your car, that would really mess up the way it looks." They didn't give me a ticket, and were as nice as could be. I suppose that if I were to get ticketed for it I would go the moweraxle route, but do let us know how your little experiment turns out.

TX-KmanS :

A co-worker got a ticket here in Central New York for no front plate, his fine was $25.00 plus $50.00 in court costs. Our servants of the law are not as open minded as yours are, I wish we didn't need the darn thing but alas that is not the case. To me it is really not the fine, it's that feeling that I could be pulled over and put through the drill that motivates me to mount the front plate. I agree with you the CS is a much prettier car w/o the front plate on.
