Best place to look that up is their website, as I understand it they have 2 versions, one with cats, and one without, pluses and minuses of each will depend on what you want t of your car. I have not seen independent dynos of the Fabspeed headers where only the header was changed, other headers produce mild increases (6-12hp), and there is no way to know about drone without just doing a header swap and leaving the existing catback in place and then comparing, I suspect they have little effect on that overall exhaust sound...

We have a club member IAS987S that has the black Cayman S that is used in a You Tube video. Maybe you could PM or email him and ask him about the headers. He has the car at his business 2 blocks from my house. I'll stop by tomorrow and ask him if he wants to post any information on this thread to answer your question.

Fabspeed System

I have the Fabspeed test car as seen on their website, so far the car has had the complete milltek system, the complete fabspeed system and just the cat back fabspeed system. The milltek and fabspeed complete systems have about the same horsepower, the milltek is louder. The fabspeed system fits better and uses all the factory mounting hardware, the cats are much more reliable and dont throw any check engine lights. Currently im running just the cat back fabspeed set up b/c it is not as loud for every day driving. If your going to use the car on the track go with the headers and cat back system together. The car will breath much better and you'll gain noticeable power. Using the headers alone with the stock mufflers, i've never tried but heres the issue. The fabspeed headers eliminate the 1200 cell primary cats and replace them with 200 cell cats, the factory muffler and secondary cats, also 1200 cell would then remain, which reduces the effectiveness of the headers. If you have to pick either cat back or headers, go with fabspeed cat back b/c then you'll still have the primary cats on factory headers flowing into the cat back system which is cat delete, this is what I have now. Other things to consider would be labor costs for install, if you do both cat back and headers together your loking at about 4 hours, if you do them seperatley your doubling you labor time, whether your doing it yourself or having it done it saves time if you can swing it. I'll be attending the pca autox at meadowlands the 15th and the 22nd, so if youd like to hear it come see me there. Other wise the car is at my dealership called International Autosport, 261 Wanaque Avenue, Pompton Lakes, NJ, feel free to stop by anytime. Good Luck! and have fun with car. Rick Corsaro

I have the Fabspeed headers with cats along with the Borla catback and couldn't be happier. The reduction of back pressure is amazing as well as the extra torque. The system was loud at first but mellowed nicely after about a month of daily driving. All this is paired up with the new softronic plenum as well.

Thinking of getting the same combination, any check engine light ever come up?

I’ve been trolling around for quite sometime trying to dissect all the information regarding headers, finally pulled the trigger & ordered the Fabspeed headers w/cats to match up with the Milltek exhaust...I'd recommend calling or contacting Fabspeed, let them know you’re a member and talk to them for a few, pleasure to do business with…
