Softronic Flash Install Review 2.7 Liter

Today I received my Tuned software from Softronic.I followed the E-mailed Instructions and it only took about 10 minutes and it was very easy to do .My Performance Modifications now Include the Softronic Flash, Remus Exhaust ,K&N Air filter and the Infamous De-Snorkel .I first noticed that my car sounds a little different then before,a little deeper sound.a real racing kind of sound . WOW !! To put it kindly my car now scares me Ok. I was going about 40 to 45 in 3rd gear so 3300 3400RPM (In that range ) I put the pedal to the metal as we say and the Frigin TIRES SPUN !! like some sort of BEAST of a car asking for more acceleration. WOW!!!!! The Torque was tremendous. It seriously feels like a different car.I will make some videos to prove my results and after Plenum installation a DYNO.I do not have any affiliation with Softronic in any way. This tuned software is worth every penny and a MUST get modification for any 2.7 Owner trust me it will knock your socks off. WOW!!:

Wow, tire spin, sounds like a good increase. Can a 3.4 spin tires in 3rd at that RPM? Can't wait to see the dyno. Not doubting the mod, just skeptical and glad you like it....which is the point of any mod, make the owner smile

... and then you woke up. Otherwise, absolute nonsense, ... assuming the road was dry.

You say applying the change was easy, but was it done?
Can you turn it back to factory on demand?

I tuned my GTV and it felt like a massive change but in reality the engine note has changed because of the exhaust and cold air intake that was added at the same time.

Definately going to look into doing it to my 2.7!

Can the red line be changed with the chipping? Or could that damage the car?

thanks

YES It was Done and my car Has considerable Improvement in areas of Tourque and HP. I have almost 20K on it so I have a good feel for differences .All the prior Mods were done before the Softronic Flash .Exhaust almost a year ago De-Snorkel 6 months ago and K&N 3 weeks ago.I was sent in the form of an E-mail a Stock settings download as well as the Tuned one.so setting back to stock is just 10 minutes of time.I dont know about the Red Line Question. But the 2.7 Responded very well to the Tuned Software.

It changed my car too. The higher rev range is a nice feature. This is my first Porsche but I've been driving manual cars for years. Before the flash, I would hit the rev limiter before I hit my traditional engine pitch for shifting. Now I can wind it up to 7000 RPM. I should be adding the Plenum Friday, it seems like no brainer add on for $850.
The other change is a smoother acceleration in the lower RPM range in 3rd gear.
Glad to hear it did the same for you. Just makes driving these machines that much better.

Thats Great to hear.I have the Exact same Results car really Pulls well .Like its teasing me to to go faster.I am going to be a little cautious about accelerating around corners though until I get a real feel for the increased tourque.Without LSD One can spin pretty easily .Especially here in WA we have had nothing but rain all year so far.Do you have a Aftermarket Exhaust? also are you going to DYNO after the Plenum install. Thanks

Quick question, did you have SC?? I know the Softronic can add sport mode, but what if you already have it?!

If you already have the sport chrono, just let Scott know that you want the tuned file (more power) but without the sport chrono option. Your factory sport chrono will work as before.

Non sport chrono Cayman owners can also request not to include this feature in their tuned file, only the extra power.

In regards to raising the rev limiter, this can only be done with manual cars, no tiptronic cars, just wanted to make sure to point that out so nobody gets confused and assumes it is possible on any Cayman.
