Painting Calipers Carrera Gt style?

Ok call me crazy but I am always thinking of something different ok.I was looking at the Carrera Gt Center Caps and Calipers. My car is black with Black wheels with a polished lip as you see in my avitar ok .I have several Ideas I was pondering 1.Paint Red calipers Yellow and center cap (Just the flag on the cap Light Blue ) ala Carrera Gt.2.second idea ,Paint only the top part of the caliper Yellow keeping the back part Red and yellow Flag on caps .see pics what do you guys think ?

Didnt you already paint your calipers before?!

Anyway, personally, the only thing I dont like about the CGT is the wheel center caps!

Only the center caps on one side are blue (e.g. passenger side). The other side (driver side) is red or yellow I believe. This helps determine which side each wheel is for, like in racing.

Yellow calipers would look great but I'm not too much a fan of the blue center caps. If you decide to paint the calipers please take close up pictures. I'm still trying to decide if I should paint mine but I'm not sure how they'll end up. I want perfect smoothness!

Thanks and good luck!

I decided on G2 Yellow kit. I just painted them all yellow .The 2 tone thing just would not look right unless I powder coated them .They are drying now .This G2 paint takes longer to dry .its been almost 4 hours still tacky. YES I had painted them RED before but hey I dont have an S model so I did NOT want to be Politically incorrect .and I relize there are other Porsche models that have Yellow, I actually wanted a more Farerri look .I think the cayman has resemblence of a modern day fararri ,Especially if your car is Black,Red Or Yellow .The G2 color is really Quite Nice Not TOO Bright Yellow looking I am pleasently surprised .

Personally, I used to do alot of DIY stuff on previous cars .. but I dont think I would much DIY stuff on the Cayman. If you can get them powercoated by a professinoal shop, then go for it.

finished The job

Well this took an interesting twist today I painted the calipers G2 yellow today and I did not like the Brush strokes the G2 Paint left .maybe its because I had already painted the Red or the fact that going from red to yellow required 2 coats I dont know but I did not like it ,I have a 2.7 so they come Black from the factory .well a nice thing happend by accident I took a razor to the Outer part and followed the Line that the calipers has on the outside part. completely removing the yellow and red all the way down to the factory black with white Porsche logo.Much to my surprise all, the black was in perfect condition .I used some caliper cleaner to remove any Excess paint to make it loook really clean and with a razors edge Its pretty sharp looking (Tight) so just the back ground is YELLOW .Face part is the original BLACK with white porsche logo .well I have to tell you it looks FN AWSOME!!! very farerri Ish .utilizing my black and polished aluminum wheels its very Impressive looking .I cannot post Picture until monday due to the fact the woman went out of town with her girlfriends and took my digital camera!!!! (what do the do with my camera?) I am very happy with the outcome though and it was all an accident..
