i just got my cayman s not to long ago and i want too get more power. what can i do to make little modifications to get some power increase but in a cheap way?
Remove all unnecessary weight from the car - mats, door panels, carpet, license plate frame, wheel centers, badging, passenger seat, etc.
Other than that, you gotta pay to play ...

Cayman S - a portable amusement park
Catback exhaust roughly $1500, softronic performance flash about $900, underdrive pulley about $200. What do you mean by cheap?
Softronic
SOFTRONIC produces DME programming and hardware to suit your companies specifications. Our current software suite is a complex matched set of programs housed in a Flash Manager and Flash Client. This software is matched with two cables, an End User and Master Cable. The SOFTRONIC proprietary flashing solution outperforms all other combinations in speed and accuracy including the factory Porsche equipment.

Try picking up a copy of the August '08 Issue of European Car magazine. Begining on page 92 they have an article on "Proven ~ Porsche Cayman S Power Adders" back up by some reasonable adept attempts at independantly run dyno tests to quantify the improvement claims. Nice job, and a reasonable place to start your quest. A lot more reliable than wild, uninhibited, cavalier, running around naked in the ran etc., etc., etc. "desnorking"
We dont have that magazine here...care to share salient points of the article for the benefit of all?

Okay, petrolhead. Here's a brief summary of the European Car test report.
Starting with a stock '07 Cayman S that showed 260 rwhp and 223 lb-ft wheel torque on the Dynojet 289:
1. The RSS IPD intake plenum ($1000 usd) added 13 hp and 13 lb-ft tq.
2. The Revo Stage 1 reflash ($900 + $350 for select switch) added 6 hp and 6 lb-ft tq.
3. The Cargraphic exhaust ($6895) plus Revo Stage 2 reflash added 20 hp and 20 lb-ft tq.
A careful search around this site will turn up quite a few combinations of intake, exhaust, and softwear mods yielding somewhat different results, so you can pick your tune and pay the piper.
Plenum
The plenum is the piece that goes between the Cayman throttle body and the intake runners. The factory piece is a long black plastic tube with a divider down the middle. There are aftermarket replacements which are designed to allow the air to flow easier/faster into the engine and increase horsepower and torque.
