Borla Exhaust Lead time

So, I just called up Borla to see if I could get a status check on my exhaust(ordered on May 6th from Ajusa). The guy definitely wasn't helpful and told me that i'm looking at about 2 months more of a wait. With that being said, I have decided to cancel my order and go with another system.

Anyone else check on their status lately? This is unreasonable.

My May 7th order has still not shipped. No firm date is available from BORLA. I worries me that you were told that your May 6th order is still two months out. Who did you speak with at BORLA?

not sure with whom i spoke to, but it was someone in sales. I asked to speak to Chris Higgins and the guy said that he won't be able to help me with this. I said okay, I'm going to cancel my order, he said "cool. bye"

i wish i took down his name.

That's suprising. I though Chris Higgens was the go-to guy on this. Thanks for the info.

If you're really after a Borla I've seen them advertised by Performance Products/Automotion. A site sponsor I think. No idea if they actually stock them or if an order just gets you on another list. If they stocked it might get an instant cure for the itch.

Any comment from Borla directly?

I want their exhaust, and will wait...but won't pay until they are in stock. Is that a problem?

I have been lurking around waiting to order.

I've been in touch with BORLA on and off for a couple of months. I last spoke to a service rep there last week. My ship date has moved several times, originally from mid June to early July. Now I can't even get a new ship date. I'm getting a little nervous, as they've moved to a new plant in Tennessee and maybe the lines aren't fully up and running yet. Could mean more delays? I've heard these are custom order, i.e. their runs are set to meet demands and that they may never "stock" these. As far as stock at other vendors, they apparently dissappear as quick as they come in, so unless you are very lucky and pick up the phone at the right moment you probably won't have much luck. What I hope happens, is they get up to speed to meet demand, and if you order directly from them, say in a month, the turnaround will be short. Good luck. I'll post as my wait continues.....

Awhile back David Borla came on here stating that he would look into everyone's orders and when I asked about mine, Borla sent a generic template e-mail stating that they were moving facilities. The company I ordered from says that they're basically getting the same response from Borla.

I think whomever you order from will just put a hold on your credit card until it's going to ship. Not sure though.

My experience is similar to those noted above. My order was placed through AJUSA on 29 April. At mid June I was notified that I was number 2 in line and that the exhaust would be drop shipped from Borla. They billed my credit card.

10 days later I called Borla and AJUSA to enquire about the order. I was notified that I was now 4 in line (no plausible explanation was provided for why I was moving backwards in line) and that it would be 2-4 weeks before the exhaust would ship. I expressed my dissatisfaction with having already had the charges placed on my card and promptly canceled my order. I'm going with a full FAB speed system.

On the plus side, this makes one less person in line for those who were behind me in line.
