Been around for a long time but never did get around to posting, so i guess this serves as an intro to all.. How y'all doing fellow crocs?
SO Well, im in desperate need of advice on some mods im looking to get done.
Id like to get a tpc turbo kit, im thinking on getting me an lsd, changing tires
since im not sure how the michelins will handle with that power..
So is the lsd worth it, if im getting the turbo and all, and if so which brand?
I also want to mod the suspension, which kit would be best for this application? (Bilstein, etc?)
Is changing or reinforcing the clutch a good idea or is it irrelevant?
This is my first porsche and i am really looking forward to squeezing its full potential now that i got a chance, so any input, help or suggestions from the local experts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time guys, hope you can help me out here..
Greetings from Mexico..
LSD - Limited Slip Differential
A limited slip differential (LSD) is a modified or derived type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in rotational velocity of the output shafts, but does not allow the difference in speed to increase beyond a preset amount. In an automobile, such limited slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.
The main advantage of a limited slip differential is found by considering the case of a standard (or "open") differential where one wheel has no contact with the ground at all. In such a case, the contacting wheel will remain stationary, and the non-contacting wheel will rotate freely– the torque transmitted will be equal at both wheels, but will not exceed the threshold of torque needed to move the vehicle, thus the vehicle will remain stationary. In everyday use on typical roads, such a situation is very unlikely, and so a normal differential suffices. For more demanding use however, such as driving off-road, or for high performance vehicles, such a state of affairs is undesirable, and the LSD can be employed to deal with it. By limiting the velocity difference between a pair of driven wheels, useful torque can be transmitted as long as there is some friction available on at least one of the wheels.

Bilstein
A corporate restructuring of August Bilstein GmbH of Ennepetal, Germany took place in 1988 with the purchase of the company by Hoesch AG. A subsequent merger of the Hoesch Group with Fried. Krupp AG in 1992 established the parent conglomerate Fried. Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp. In 1999 Fried. Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp merged with Thyssen AG to form ThyssenKrupp Automotive Group. Bilstein is now a wholly-owned subsidiary company of the ThyssenKrupp Automotive Group.
The group is a primary supplier to the automotive industry and, with their other subsidiaries, cover a wide spectrum of manufacturing from steel production to automation and communications technology among others. The amount of information and technology available to a company of this size is formidable and create an excellent basis for present and future product development including Bilstein suspension components.

just my , but if you're planning to do all mentioned modifications, I'd save the TPC turbo for last.
Getting the LSD put on the car is a great mod to begin with, but when you're pushing over 400hp its almost a must have if you're planning to power through the corners. check out this post for more info LSD Anyone? (Group Buy Orders Only)
Also using the search feature for "TPC Turbo" should give you a lot of results with info on these upgrades

You should probably talk with TPC first. They should know what other mods are necessary and/or desirable with their turbo kit. By usual standards, their turbo kit provides a huge boost in power, so other upgrades (clutch, differential, suspension, wheels/tires, brakes, etc.) may be needed and/or desirable as well.
