Member with Aftermarket exhaust!! Oxygen Sensor Problem

For other members with aftermarket exhaust. have your oxygen sensor gone bad on you thus far? I just dropped my car off at the dealership to have the oxygen sensors replace, this is the second time since I got the exhaust installed.

Wondering have other members experience similar Oxygen sensor issue after they installed their exhaust.

My dealership is pretty nice and they'll cover the sensor under warranty. But when I asked them what cause the oxygen sensor to failed. They said its the aftermarket exhaust, but they couldn't explain to me exactly what is causing the sensor to failed.

I have the Supersprint Race exhaust, with factory headers and Cats. THe oxygen sensor are on the headers, so I don't see how the exhaust section is causing the oxygen sensors to go bad.

Any ideas?

Its in the dealer manuals. If a customer has a modification, it must be stated it is the cause of a problem.

At first I thought - "I seriously doubt your oxygen sensors have gone bad, they are more likely tripping check engine lights for codes for inadequate catalytic converter warm-up if you are using aftermarket cats", but you said you have the factory headers and cats in which case nothing downstream should effect them unless there is a problem with the design of the Supersprint exhaust that is causing the system to run too hot and fry your O2 sensors. Is it frying both the primary and secondary sensors or just the primary or just the secondary or what?

The dealer didn't give me any detail, when I pick up the car today. I'll ask them which oxygen sensor where the one that went bad. They only told me they are replacing the oxygen sensors.

Tks for the info, didn't know there are primary and secondary.
