I'm really curious how the sound of this exhaust compares to the Tubi.

Has anyone heard both in person?

Thanks for your input in advance as I am seriously thinking about exchanging my Borla system for the Remus.
its pretty loud. theres no denying that...its a racing exhaust! i only notice the drone around 2400 rpms. i dont find it too bad of a drone either. you can def work around it depending on your foot and gear.
up high, the exhaust system absolutely screams...and trust me, at that point people are going to be turning heads not only because its loud, but because it sounds THAT good.
race cats would def make it that much louder...and would also add more drone.

Will the Farnbacher Loles Exhaust be making it down to the Shootout? I'm also interested in hearing the Cargraphic system...

I don't know, I don't know who owns one, might be worth a call to F-L to ask them if they are coming and if they aren't who they've sold one to in the area that might be coming.

OK, lots of very happy testimonials. Which of you folks can we count on to represent Team Remus at the Croctoberfest Exhaust Shoot Out. The Remus seat is still empty......

Exhaust Shootout

Ladies and Gentlemen!
Question for you all!
Unfortunately, like many, I won't be attending the Fest so I won't be able to hear these exausts in person. I was wondering. There has been a great deal of effort by members to post the helpful exhaust/youtube videos, but are recorded by different devices and under different conditions. Would it be possible to do a set of recordings at the Fest that ARE done similarly?
IMHO, that would be a tremendous help for those looking to hear what these beasts really sound like.
Anybody else think this would be a good idea?
KJ

I think this would be a great way to compare the different sounds at one event, under similar circumstances. +1 to this idea!

I think it's a great idea to record both video and audio of all exhaust systems by the same recording equipment under the same conditions (same angles, distances, location, environment, time of day, etc) That way it becomes possible to compare volume and tone in a standardized fashion.

Until that is done, this thread deserves a higher-quality audio link for the Remus exhaust than the mono sound found on youtube currently.

Here it is, the sharkwerks video with higher quality stereo audio:
Porsche Cayman S Modified @ SharkWerks- Video

Notice that the left and right mics are picking up directional sounds. When the car passes across the screen, the sound moves across your speakers in conjunction with what you are seeing on the screen. Much better audio in my opinion.
