Has anyone on this site actually installed a Billy Boat exhaust? The videos do sound interesting, but I wouldn't expect much of a power gain. Better throttle response would be nice...
So since some time has passed, i was wondering if anyone has some new insight on the B&B system?
I am debating which system to buy and it seems to me that the B&B is a good deal. Here in Canada things are most pricey than in the US.
The 3 systems I'm looking at are: Fabspeed: $1800 CAN-plus the $500 for the tips. This system looks a bit cheesy and it hangs down and looks kinda ugly, despite what Mr. Fabiani says. Do they hold up well? Sound good? Performance?
B&B: $1500 CAN it looks nicest to my eyes and is the best bang for the buck, it would seem. I have heard that it does not make as much power as others but I have seen a test that shows a healthy 9-10hp over stock which is damn close to K-man's AWE system (+11hp) for less cash (AWE is $2500 CAN). is it too loud?
Milltek: $2600! CAN-far and away the most expensive and a perenial favorite here it seems. is it worth the extra $1100 over the B&B? I have not seen any dyno results with the cat back only, just he full system. Also, I'm not a big fan of how the pipes go under the muffler and hang down...looks weird to me.
I should mention that i don't mind it being loud as long as I can pass the noise regulations at the two tracks I frequent (Calabogie and tremblant).
How do these systems hold up? Any troubles-baffles coming loose, things breaking etc.?
Any insight would be great!
Thanks
Chris

Yeah well, I'm not that guy so....
Unfortunatly all of his comments (about the exhaust along with all the offensive stuff) have been erased so I'm asking again.

We have a Cayman 2.7 in Gainesville with the BB exhaust, the owner is user Night Ryder 987 and I went for a drive with him the other day. Let me tell you, his 2.7 was QUICK, he said he definitley felt a good boost after the B&B exhaust and he used to be a tech for BMW\VW.
Build quality on the exhaust is great and it looks very neat and tucked away. My AWE hangs at about the same level and has smaller, more squared mufflers. I think I prefer the look of the BB exhaust. I prefer the sound of the AWE exhaust, the BB is a little deeper\flatter sounding; but still sounds much better than stock.
I got the AWE because for me, it was the best ratio of dynoed power gains and sound. And I am very, very happy with my decision.

What about AWE? I don't see that listed among your choices. I think the B&B is fine, is just doesn't make as much horsepower, and it is a little harder to install because it uses straps, kinda like a bra...

I did the B&B install a few weeks ago on my Cayman-S. The quality and the fit and finish was excellent. The install was pretty simple with the exception of the straps that actually hold the mufflers onto the provided brackets. ( I did not use the straps but tack welded the mufflers to the brackets). The sound is a big improvment over stock through the entire rpm range, not too loud but just enough to know that it has been changed. The response feels a little better when you hit the gas, the "seat of the pants" meter says its a little quicker. I have used a variety of other exhausts on the Vipers and Corvettes I have owned, will the Cayman sound like a V-8, no way, but the B&B Catback system does just fine for what I was looking for. I don't think you will be disappointed.
