I know its been posted before: Rear Hatch Tint?

I have read all the threads that Santa Fe has graciously linked to, have found opinions onto whether to tint or not, but I wanted to ask those of you who have tinted your rear window hatches...

what percent, and your impressions on it?

I have a black/black cayman s, was going to do a 35% on the side windows and can't decide on what to do on the rear. Part of me wants to go 20%.

Thanks.

Okay..man...

The Rear window is already a little tinted... tinting them even more can sometimes ruin a cars apperance... IMO...

But, you do what you have to do... not want to do...

P.S Nice Combo...

50% on everything but the front windshield would look like dynamite on your Cayman

Why not put clear film on it? It will not be dark but will protect from heat. It some times gives a slightly reflective / frosted look but only at certain times of the day and from certain angles - which is cool & different from dark films.

I went for the clear film all around as the cabin is too small & dark film would make it too dark inside at night. Mine is basalt w/terracotta & the film is called v-kool. Not sure if it's sold under the same name in the US.

All the best.

I find that 4 way STOPs can be dangerous if I can't see the other drivers eyes and know that they are looking at me. At least in Canada politicians are using STOPs to slow down traffic in residential neighborhoods.

An increased level of tint would look very nice on a black car, but a combination of tint and the black interior will make the car feel a bit smaller on the inside - a bit like the Boxter with the roof on.

First thing I did was tint it, I love it, of course I live where it was 117 degrees two weeks ago. I think it doesn't hinder me at all during the day. Night time just a little but not enough not to want me not to want it. I did 20% all the way around except the windshield of course
