In reading the latest issue of Panorama, there's a technical question on theHP gains for de-snorking. The response indicated that there are no gains in HP by doing this. I can't validate one way or the other but it was interesting to see a counterpoint to this approach.

Which page in Pano and were they talking about the Cayman? Sounds like I might need to send a letter to the editor that we've got dyno tests that say otherwise.

I think you would need repeatable dyno tests on more than one car. Im sure Porsche left something on the table HP wise but I think its going to take a bit of ECU poking around+ a high flow filterto extract it.
I concur that one dyno run on one car isn't conclusive, sure would be nice if others ran dyno test too!
Besides measurable results, my general experience in desnorking any performance vehicle is that the greatest single 'seat of the pants' indicatorof enhanced performanceis an increase in the quickness with which RPM.s spool up after freeing up the breathing. When exhaust systems are less than optimum, a further enhancement can usually be enjoyed by installing an improved header and exhaust system. My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that the Cayman S's exhaust system is 'pretty efficient' right out of the box
