So it's been a while for some of you who made this modification to your Caymans. Now that you've lived with it a while, any comments?


Have you noticed a power increase? How's the noise factor?

Definitely, a noticeable increase in low-end torque and power over 6,000rpm.

Car is quicker. I beat every 997 at the last track day with exception to the 997 S. Very close 3 tenths of a second. I believe the brakes were the main reason. The 997 S brakes are superior to the CS.

I helped a friend desnork his CS a month ago & neither of us could detect any improvement in performance. There was an increase in induction sound which generally gives the impression of more power.



Although I don't expect a performance gain, I plan to desnork my CS in the next few weeks because (1) more induction sound is good, (2) I'd rather tinker than wax, and (3) I already painted the wire mesh I'll use to cover the intake.
