i'm new to the porsche aftermarket scene but is milltek suppose to be good? why not techart or other aftermarket companies?

Milltek has a long standing history with Audi and more recently has gotten in Porsches. Some other Porsche tuners have not yet created a Cayman exhaust, or they are reselling Boxster exhausts for the Cayman or they are reselling someone else's exhaust with their stamp on it. I'm sure we'll see more systems as time goes along, nearly all of the first generation products (like Tubi, Fabspeed, etc.) have resonance issues between 2k and 4k. Milltek is the first I know of to have solved this problem, but I'm sure others will once they see how the Milltek system is designed.

No idea, group buys vary by product and vendor, only stratmosphere can answer that. They are a sponsor here so they do have the capability to run an authorized group buy.
