ah... i think you are missing the point of a cayman.

a good coil over system will not work with 20' on cayman. you will not find any 20' tire worthy to be used with any real coil overs.

If you lower the car too much more than 1.5' your tire is going to hide behind the wheel well. I haveH&R Sport Springs on mine and it lowered the car 1.5'. Anymore than that will look silly IMO. Here is a picture to illustrate what I am saying. The wheels are 18's.

Is there any other store out there? In fact, I saw 20' Tech - Art on E-Bay, only around 1G.

Dude, thanks for the info. Now, if I think 20 with at least 2' lowered will be the best for me, please take it easy....

From what I understand 20' Techart wheels require the fenders to be rolled, and spacers used, so if you go that route make sure to do your research. If you do drop it by 2' or more please make sure to post pictures here

techart 20' do require 15mm spacers in the rear.

they do not require fender mods, i lowered it with out modding anything and i have NO issues.

if you found a set of 4 techart 20' rims on ebay for 1k they are probably knockoffs because each rim is about 1000 bux. (i think 850 for each front and 1200 for each rear?)

my suspension has settled a lil so the car looks a little lower but even the day i i took the pix i was scraping my car on all sorts of things with a 1.35 inch drop in front and 1.2 in rear.

dont go ricey you will regret it and people will laugh at you

In Apr. when I was thinking about Techart wheels I contacted Wheelenhancement people and was told that 20' wheels need the fenders rolled - I suspect this was in the early Cayman days or Techart itself recommends for the fenders to be rolled. One issue that did come up for me was the wheel weight - on one of my older BMW I used to switch between winter and summer wheels, and could feel the huge difference wheel weight makes on a car's performance - since then weight is of primary importance to me, and sadly the 20' are very heavy.

From an esthetic point of view those Techart wheels work very well with this car, with its round curves - the wheels have nice curves to them making it a 'total package'

ok dude, its your car...

are you running pasm? u should be able to buy the coilover set up from techart but if u want to lower 2.5 inches u may need to have fenders rolled. i would contact wheel enhancement and talk to dave about what your goal is. he will know best.

as for the 20's being heavy. i had 19' s wheels on the car.when i went from 17' to 19' staggered on the benz i could really feel the wheight. but upping the cayman from 19' 20' to my surprise didnt change much. the wheels seemed very light when i was handling them. i think techart did a great job keeping wheight off these wheels. i may pull my stock wheel onto a scale and then put my techart on a scale to see the dif.

As pointed out 2 to 2.5' is a lot - I have not seen anybody here talk about that much drop - check out rennteam.com and rennlist.com if you have not done as yet. We have many experts here, so given time I am sure someone will be able to answer your question directly.
