PERFORMNCE AND DURABILITY

Hi everyone, I am with big dilemma whether to move on with purchasing 07 CAYMAN S or not. the thing is I live in Dubai and price for Cayman here is fantastic (better then any place else) BUT, BUT, my problem is ifmy PORSCHE is sufficiently durable and reliable to withstand its performance with given heat (local climate) To make thing simple am I going to go to the mechanic shop every two weeks or is this a really KING of all cars and will not have all kinds of mechanical failures and problems. Other then the name and reputation,is the CAYMAN S built as good'QUALITY' caror am I buying only the life style.<o></o>
Is there anyone out here who can tell me in an honest and down to earth way, what am I going to face with this car other then high premium for insurance?<o></o>
Thanks a lot…<o></o>
tataboca,

Sorry I missed your original message. Will your Cayman have problems? Depends on the car. Every car is unique. HOWEVER, the Cayman just took TOP HONORS in the JD Power awards for quality and reliability with the fewest number of problems per car. So I don't see how you could really do any better than that. There have not been any major issues with the Cayman that I am aware of, most problems fall into the niggling problems with a new car that are covered under warranty. Your car will not be in the shop every week unless you take it there for a free car wash or something.

There is a whole forum called 'Cayman Complaints' where people post their problems and often their solutions. Look through it and you'll see that there is nothing major there, and don't let it skew your opinion the vast majority of Cayman owners have not had any problems at all.
