do you think i should buy this unpainted and put them on like that? can i do that? will it look right? do you think i should buy them painted high gloss black? I have a silver cayman S.
6: There have been several threads on this. Painting the foglights/spears yourself appears to be a pretty easy job, needing only a few minutes and a can of Krylon spray paint.
i bought mine from SunCoast at a great deal and didnt have them painted. they come in the same matte black as the surrounding area and look just fine. If you have them painted a shiny color they are going to stand out again, as they did when they were silver. ill take a pic and post it so you can see what mine look like. I agree with Fredyy...its a DIY'er if you do want them glossy.

Looks great. I think the color on your car determines which looks best- painting them or keeping them color-matched. It looks hot on the red but on my seal grey I prefer to leave them alon ealthough Iam putting mesh screens in behind.
That looks great RedRocket!........I think Johnb21 has something though.......thislooks great on the non-metallic colors, but may be a bit out of place on the metallics......then again I may just have to see it!
I ordered mine painted from Suncoast also. They did an awesome job. The gloss does not stand out too much at all. I was going to put on the clear bra on mine, so even if I had painted mine flat, the clear bra would have made it look glossy. Some folks here had problems with paint chips from road debris. Check out my thread....
sleepless: The 'Owners Manual' has a section (with diagram) on removing the foglight assembly in order to replace the bulb. And I believe there have been illustrated threads or an 'Article' on this forum.
