Coilovers for PASM equipped 987's

Hello everybody... some of you know I dont own a cayman (I did for 2 weeks before I bought my boxster), but the question I have can also be anwered by some of you folks. I own a 987 boxster s, and I'm wondering If I could fit non-PASM coilovers on my boxster (I have PASM) and just go to the dealer and have them disable my PASM so no warning light show up. I know PASM is so great etc etc, but here in Miami I dont need it that much, plus a nice coilover setup might do the trick... I'm looking specially at the KW Variant 3 coilovers or the Bilstein PSS9's. So if anybody can help me on this matter (sponsors?), installing KW Variant 3 coilovers designed for regular suspension on my PASM equipped boxster s?

Thanks and have a great day!

Alan

I would wait a few months for the PASM compliant PSS9's as opposed to disabling PASM.

Alan-

We have on order Bilstein's latest version of coilover for the PASM cars. Since they helped develop the PASM for Porsche, it's proven easier for them to come up with a solution.

Their new system will work in conjunction with your PASM, and still lower the car. Firmer spring rates are also one of the benefits. It is a seamless fit with a factory style electrical connector.

Please stay tuned for more details. I will post them as I get them.

If you would like to place a pre-order, let me know.

Mike and KmanS, thanks for your response. Mike, I know sometime soon KW, H&R and Bilstein will come up with a PASM compatible system, but my question is if I can fit just regular coilovers and disable PASM. I really dont use PASM, so I just rather have the regular coilovers and use the 1000 dollar difference on something else...> exhaust?

Thanks!

So you could just go with an H&R system. It would totally disable the PASM.

Mike, do you sell H&R? I think they dont have their coilover kit out yet... and how exactly would it disable the pasm completely? Doesnt someone has to disable it?

Thanks!

Alan
